Features
PVC insulated wire is the most used kind among automotive wires; it is made by covering a conductor with polyvinylchloride i.e. PVC. Generally, PVC's ratio is between 1.31 and 1.45 and it softens at around 65˚C~85˚C (149˚F~185˚F). Some PVC disintegrates at 120˚C~180˚C (248˚F~356˚F) generating HCL gas. PVC can be reinforced by adding other substances as needed for better heat resistance-up to operating temperature of 80˚C~100˚C (176˚F~212˚F).
